Jersey Freeze remains for now

Many of my fellow New Jersey citizens (I still have to get used to that) are rejoicing as it seems a popular restaurant/ice cream parlour will remain for the time being. As reported by the Asbury Park Press, the place will remain for at least another year (it was supposed to be knocked down and replaced with an Olive Garden.)

For my Massachusetts friends and family, the place is the equivalent to Kelly's Roast Beef in many ways.

My fiance as well as many others of the Brunelli clan will no doubt be rejoicing upon hearing this.

They do have some nice ice cream. As the summer draws near, I must admit I too find this to be very good news :)

  1. Hm, intriguing... Is it equivalent to Kelly's in the sense of it being a regional chain, or is it equivalent in terms of what they have there?

Still, sounds like it would be better than an Olive Garden, regardless of how I feel about the prospect of unlimited bread sticks.

  2. Yes, breadsticks are awesome. In regards to the similarities with Kelly's, its regional, though not a chain and their food selections are similar with less emphasis on roast beef and more emphasis on deserts.
