Lord of the Flies

Apart from companionship and destroying some of my property, my cat (named Baby) is becoming quite adept at killing flies.

I find this very amusing as oftentimes I won't actually see or know the fly is even there and she come in or leave a room at full speed leaping at what appears to be nothing.

So, since I hadn't made good on my promise to present photos of Baby: Destroyer of Insects, I will do so now.

The first photo is of her enjoying her spoils, in a carnivorous way. The second photo is of Baby playing with her soon to be meal.

Always Welcome

Hello all (three of you)

First off, I think I'm going to try posting the url of this blog on facebook again, and anyone who does read this, feel free to let our other friends and/or family members be aware of this blog. I still think this would be more interesting to read had I came up with the idea to do this when I first came down here and not like 10 months after the fact.

That said, ahem, I'm happy and fortunate to be hosting my parents for a weekend in mid-August (for everyone's sake, I'm not inserting the "JAWS" quote here). This reminds me that I want to let everyone know I'm always happy to host people for the weekend. There's quite a bit to do down here and I figured it would be easier to do something while it was still the summer, though we are all mostly working and not too many of us are in school anymore (which for some reason depresses me.)

My next venture up to MA is TBD/TBA.

Peace out yo

How time flies

While talking to Dawn last night, I remarked how quickly the year had been going as its July already. Then came even a more startling revelation, its already been nearly a year since I got the new job and moved to the Garden State.

I moved in late August (maybe the 30ish-th?) and started work on Sept. 2. It really doesn't feel like I've been here a year, six months yeah, maybe, but definitely not a year.

Oh and for those 2 or 3 people who actually read this (all likely from MA) I am hoping to make an appearance during the weekend of Jul. 10 - 12.

Seating is limited, please reserve your space/time with James now :)

Cheers... again

New gig

A while back, I hinted about an opportunity to write about my passions. Well, things have finally culminated. I am a contributing writer for Bright Hub, a web site which features all sorts of content, including articles on video games.

I have written wii reviews for two games, one of the articles needed a bit of work, but should be up soon.

In the meantime, check this baby out!

New Roomate

I'm happy to announce I have successfully adopted a year and a half old cat. Her name is baby, though I think I'm going to call her Baby Delilah. I am currently scheduled to pick her up Friday afternoon.

Photos will be forthcoming,

Peace out

Quick Update

Hey there,

Just checking in everyone. As some of you may know, I had been undergoing tests for some abdominal issues I've been having. Though I am still awaiting results of a few tests, I'm happy to announce that I at least don't have Celiac Sprue Disease, Chrohn's or IBS. We'll see what else we find out in the following days and weeks.

Also, there's a chance I'll be doing some part-time writing in the near future. I believe I found a rare opportunity to write about one of my favorite things. I'll let you guys know how that turns out.

Take it easy peeps

Scotty's Coming to Town

I am excited to host my first guest in the apartment who does not have the last name Brunelli or who is not a cable installation technician.

From late Apr. 2 to early Apr. 5, Scotty will be visiting me in the Garden State. I might show him some of the local sights, though I'm still unfamiliar with most of them.

That said, I'm very much looking forward to his visit and hopefully I'll have more visitors from the Bay State soon HINT HINT ;)

Jersey Freeze remains for now

Many of my fellow New Jersey citizens (I still have to get used to that) are rejoicing as it seems a popular restaurant/ice cream parlour will remain for the time being. As reported by the Asbury Park Press, the place will remain for at least another year (it was supposed to be knocked down and replaced with an Olive Garden.)

For my Massachusetts friends and family, the place is the equivalent to Kelly's Roast Beef in many ways.

My fiance as well as many others of the Brunelli clan will no doubt be rejoicing upon hearing this.

They do have some nice ice cream. As the summer draws near, I must admit I too find this to be very good news :)

Inaugural Post

Hello,

I've set this up so my friends and family from Massachusetts to Virginia and Washington can keep up on my New Jersey exploits.

I may also use the blog from time to time to vent on various things I see and hear - isn't that what all blogs are for?
